How do I find out if there is gas on my street?

What's the best form of heating?

Free heating would be great, there is no such system yet. But we can offer you the most economical heat for you. There are pros and cons to all systems. Some systems can heat, cool and ventilate your home and at a fraction of the cost of separate systems. Why use gas and what are its main benefits?

Gas is a realiable source of energy and there is plentiful supply of gas in New Zealand for domestic and commercial needs.

Gas delivers heat the instant it is needed. It is fast, efficient, environmentally friendly, and provides totally precise control for cooking and heating and a continuous hot water supply.

Gas costs cheaper than electricity, thus it is the economical choice. Bearing in mind that water heating and space heating have the biggest effect on your power energy bills, by switching to gas you will save money on your energy bill.

As a guide, in an average home, using about 500 litres a day at 45 degrees C, the continuous flow hot water heats water for half the cost of an electric tank.
